Great sound and acoustics. First Ave isn't just where Prince first made it big, it has been central in the Twin Cities' music scene for decades.

Very nostalgic if you love Prince! The one thing I dont like is beer prices,$9 for a can of Surly is ridiculous.Loved this venue. First Avenue did not disappoint. When voicing my complaints to the staff I was immediately dismissed. My only complaint was the wait to get in. The house was packed, front, back, up, down.

We arrived at 7:50 and waited outside in 20 degree weather for an hour. It was cool to see the place where they filmed Purple Rain, and to see all the names written in the stars on the side of the building. A woman who worked there came up to my friend and I and then asked for our ID's and when we gave them to her she started to walk away from us so we had to chase her down to ask her why she's taking our id's and she said if we wanted them back we had to follow her.
